Cardano is Now One Step Below Ethereum by Market Cap

According to the largest cryptocurrency market data index Coinmarketcap, Cardano’s ADA cryptocurrency is now the 3rd largest cryptocurrency by market volume at the time of writing.

ADA, the native cryptocurrency of the Cardano blockchain network has peaked at a new all-time high at $1.34 per coin according to the data of Coinmarketcap. Let’s break down with basic fundamentals of Cardano. ADA has a 45 billion total supply. And 31.1 billion of them are in circulating on markets.

With a market cap of $41,164,646,239.24, priced at $1.34 per coin, is now ranked #3 on cryptocurrency market cap rankings on February 27, 2021. Its previous all-time high was at $1.12 on January 5, 2018. And the all-time low was at $0.01735. However, the market dominance for ADA is about 3%.

Cardano was founded in 2017. The blockchain was created by Ethereum co-founder, Charles Hoskinson. He is also the CEO of IHOK which is known as Input Output Hong Kong, Cardano’s main business venture. Cardano blockchain is a direct competitor to the Ethereum blockchain with smart contracts.
