The largest electric car maker, Tesla’s CEO and founder Elon Musk said on Twitter, has not sold any of his personal Bitcoin and continues to hold his bitcoin.
Here’s where Elon Musk’s statement came from. The comedian Dave Portnoy tweeted on April 27th saying that Elon Musk buys Bitcoin and then he pumps it. While it goes up, then again Elon Musk dumps it and makes a Fortune. In response to that Elon Musk replied “I have not sold any of my bitcoin”
However, he also mentioned that Tesla sold 10% of its bitcoin holdings essentially to prove the liquidity of bitcoin as an alternative to holding cash on the balance sheet.
On March 24, 2021, Musk has announced that U.S based customers can buy a Tesla with Bitcoin which made a huge potential for Bitcoin. And he also mentioned Bitcoin paid to Tesla will retain as Bitcoin and not converting them to fiat at the same time.
On February 2021, Tesla company disclosed it had bought $1.5 Billion worth of BTC. And also according to a report by Cointelegraph, Tesla sold a portion of its Bitcoin holdings in the first quarter of 2021. All of these news between Tesla and Bitcoin.
